The Role: The Lead Teaching Pastor of The Bridge Church will demonstrate the gospel of Jesus Christ through teaching and preaching, and communicating the church's vision to our congregation and the greater community.

Meet The Bridge Church

We are a modern, relevant, Bible-based church that ministers to the whole family. Our church is made up of people of all ages and from all walks of life who are seeking to follow Jesus and who focus on sharing the light of Christ with the lost and vulnerable in our community, state, nation and the world.

The core beliefs of The Bridge Church are based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible, and all of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines:

  • We believe the BIBLE, which it is the very word of God, comprising fully the writings of the Old and New Testaments; is inspired by God in every word; is completely without error in the original writings; is the infallible and authoritative guide for one’s lifestyle (behavior) and world-view (beliefs).

  • We believe GOD is the only one, true, and living God; is the majestic and infinite, yet personal, creator of the entire universe and all mankind; sustains and controls all things according to His will; is one in essence but eternally exists in three fully equal, yet distinct, persons: Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

  • We believe JESUS CHRIST is fully God and has always existed as the Son of God; became a human being by being born of a virgin; offered himself as a sinless, substitutionary sacrifice for a lost human race through his death on the cross; was physically resurrected from the dead to show that his redeeming work was perfectly accomplished and completely satisfactory to the Father; ascended into heaven in order to begin his present heavenly ministry as our High Priest, as Head of the church, and as our Advocate before the Father; is the Agent of Creation and currently sustains all creation by the power of His command.

  • We believe the HOLY SPIRIT is fully God and has always existed as the third person of the Trinity; was active in the creation of all things, the inspiration of the Scriptures, and the incarnation of the Son; is active in the world today glorifying Christ, convicting unbelievers of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and working with believers to produce new life, indwell, provide security, give gifts of service, guide, empower, and transform them toward Christ-like maturity.

The Bridge Church was founded as a home-based church in February of 2001. We currently meet in the gym of Venice High School, but have recently acquired 21 acres of land in Venice where a permanent church home will be built. Church members come from a 20-mile or more radius of Venice.

Downtown Venice, with its beautifully landscaped palm- and oak-lined boulevards, is graced by northern Italian architecture that date to the original city plans of 1925 and are reminiscent of Venice, Italy whose name it borrowed.

With an average of 252 sunny days per year and an average temperature of 73 degrees, Venice has an ideal year-round weather climate. Once a fishing and farming community, Venice has blossomed into a charming vacation destination, with highly-rated schools, a diverse business community, and affordable lifestyle.
