How to know jesus.

You are not some random occurrence in the universe. You were created by a powerful God who loves you and has a plan for your life. He knows everything about you and he wants to have a relationship with you. Unfortunately, this world is a broken place and our sin separates us from God.  The Bible says it this way in Romans 3:23 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Our sin separates us from God so that we can no longer live in relationship with him. But here's the good news! God has a way to repair our broken relationship and bring us eternal life. John 3:16 says: "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." Jesus died on the cross as the payment for our sins so that we could have eternal life with him. We simply need to accept the gift he gives.

There is a plan for your life.

God has a good plan for your life:  Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Part of following Jesus is learning about his plan for you. Following his leadership is a life-long journey.

I'm ready to accept Jesus.

Romans 10:9 says "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." If you feel like God is calling you to  a relationship with Jesus and you are ready to follow his leadership in all you do, you can say this prayer:

Jesus, I know that I have sinned and am in need of a Savior. I believe that when you went to the cross, you went there for me and all my sins. I trust You to save me right now. I give you my life. Today, I know I’m saved and that You forgive me, but help me to understand what it means to live for you every day.  Amen.

If you prayed this prayer today we would love to hear about it. We want to encourage you and to help you in your journey. Please enter your information below to let us know.

We'd love to hear from you and celebrate your decision!

Now what?

You  may be wondering "now that I've accepted Jesus, what's next?" Colossians 2:6-7 reads "And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. " Following Jesus is a life-long journey. Things to do to establish your roots are:
  • Read and study  God's word, the Bible.
  • Get involved with a local church.
  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and direct your life.
